The flipping show was what turned the tide on him as he met his future wife Christina Haack. They turned out to be a great team as Christina focused on design, while Tarek saw to the renovations.

The business was flourishing until the economy nosedived in 2008. They turned things around and soon with their entrepreneurial skills. Although he and his wife separated they continued with their business like true professionals.
