Islam Ramazanovich Makhachev is a Russian professional mixed martial artist and erstwhile Sambo competitor who currently competes in the lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Hailing from the Republic of Dagestan in Russia, Makhachev has been able to secure the position of a combat sambo world champion at 74 kilograms in 2016.

Makhachev had enjoyed a 7-fight winning streak inside the Octagon. There have been inevitable comparisons, with his teammate and the former UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov. Even the facts about his career are all out there for the world to see, what we don’t know much about is all about his family life. We don’t know much because he doesn’t share much about his family life.

Makhachev got married on April 8, 2021, in Makhachkala, Dagestan. It was a pretty lavish affair with his colleagues in full attendance at the wedding, but not much is known about his wife or her name. Here’s wishing the couple all the best for their future.
