Es muy inusual que alguien inicie y mantenga una discusión con una persona sin hogar sin un propósito aparente, aunque algunos de ellos podrían estar dispuestos a participar en el trueque. La pintada se sorprendió al descubrir con quién estaba hablando cuando se lo hizo a sí mismo. Fue la falta de orgullo de la mujer y su amiga por su condición lo que más lo sorprendió.
