Beginning a music career at the age of eight is practically unthinkable, but the late American rock and roll singer and songwriter Ricky Nelson actually accomplished that. From then on, he kept delivering hits, including Poor Little Fool, Teen Idols and more.

Ricky marrying Kris Harmon in 1963 and they had four children, actress Tracy Nelson, Sam Hilliard Nelson, and the twin sons Gunnar Eric and Matthew Gray Nelson. The twins founded a prominent rock band called Nelson which was successful in the ’90s. After divorcing Kris, Ricky dated Helen Blair and the two died together in a fatal airplane fire.
