Ecuador – Das Land auf dem Äquator
Dieses relativ kleine südamerikanische Land hat eine Besonderheit, denn es liegt auf dem Äquator. Es gibt sogar Landstücke, auf denen man mit einem Fuß auf beiden Seiten des Äquators stehen kann, allein das ist eine Reise wert, wie wir finden. Der Name des Landes, República del Ecuador, lässt sich im Übrigen auch als “Republik des Äquators” übersetzen.
Für den Fußballsport ist dieses Land zwar nicht gerade bekannt, dennoch können die Ecuadorianer immer wieder mit überraschenden Leistungen punkten.
Außerdem hat das Land eine starke weibliche Fußballmannschaft. Aber es geht doch nichts über die Fans, ohne die der Sport nicht das gleiche wäre, und die sind in Ecuador offensichtlich besonders hübsch.
