Conceptualized by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s ruler, these islands are the handiwork of two Dutch firms, Van Oord and Boskalis – the same masterminds behind the iconic Palm Jumeirah.
Reportedly crafted mainly from sand harvested from the coast, the islands stand as a testament to the vision of Nakheel Properties, the developer. The islands are not just another construction; they’re the UAE’s audacious stamp on the globe.
