Barbara Eden – 1931
Barbara Eden became everyone’s favorite when she played the genie in I Dream Of Jeannie. She started her career at a young age as her family tried to make do with what they had during the Great Depression. She first came out in public by singing the solo parts in a church choir. At 16, she joined the AEA of the Actor’s Equity Association. In 1956, she began her first stint as a semi-regular in The Johnny Carson Show. Her acting career took her places and she took part in various projects like The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, The West Point Story, and Highway Patrol, to name a few. She also wrote her autobiography that became a bestseller and must have contributed to her retirement plans. The only thing that didn’t go her way was the death of her only child Matthew.
