42 Iconic Celebrities From The Golden Age That Are Still Alive – For Them Age Really Is Just A Number
Robert Clary – 1926
Robert Clary is a French-American actor and singer. He was one of the millions of Jews who had been sent to a concentration camp. How he survived is indeed a story to tell. He was the only one in his family to survive the Holocaust. After he was released, he started singing and soon achieved the height of popularity not just in France, but across Europe and the USA, too. His big TV break came in the form of Hogan’s Heroes. Aside from that, he also wrote a memoir From the Holocaust to Hogan’s Heroes: The Autobiography of Robert Clary. He went on to retire in 2001. He spends his time painting, taking photographs, touring cities, and talking about the Holocaust.
