42 Iconic Celebrities From The Golden Age That Are Still Alive – For Them Age Really Is Just A Number

Tony Bennett – 1926

Tony Bennett entertained Americans for decades with his soulful voice. One of the most popular singers of pop and jazz, Tony not only wowed the audience in the 50s but charmed his way to the MTV generation, and even today, he is a highly sought-after concert singer. In the late seventies and eighties, he did face some financial issues due to his addiction to drugs. Though he didn’t book himself into a drug and alcohol rehab, he did realize he needed help. His sons came to his rescue, and his career did a turnaround. To date, he is going strong with no sign of retirement what so ever, even having collaborated with other world-renowned artists like Lady Gaga, Andrea Boccelli, Norah Jones, and John Mayer for his 2011 album Duets II which topped first on the Billboard 200 chart and made Bennett the oldest living musician to debut at number one on the famous music chart.
