Known by her screen name, Sally Bliss, Carla Balenda appeared in minor roles in a few films before she accelerated to the top when she was paired up with Mickey Rooney, one of the eminent stars of the silent films era. We still can’t get over her performance in Outlaw Women and Prince of Pirates.
