45 Of The Craziest Reporter Fails Ever Caught On Live TV!

The System Crash Is To Blame

The BBC is renowned for its impartial and accurate news reporting, yet, even the most celebrated broadcasters can experience technical difficulties. In 2017, the “Ten O’clock News” was interrupted by four minutes of unrelated clips that included loud ‘Breaking News’ sounds while presenter Hugh Edwards was doing a live broadcast.

Edwards had no idea what was happening, and the network met the interruption with embarrassment. It later transpired that a system crash in the software was the cause of the problem. This incident pushed the BBC to review its technical systems and strengthen its procedures to ensure a similar occurrence does not happen again.
