All his life, Maury has had a great love for journalism. Having graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, he started his career in WWDC, a Washington D.C. radio station. Shortly after, he moved on as a TV reporter for a Washington D.C. TV station. Because of his hard work, he managed to clinch the position of co-host of Panorama which catapulted his career to greater heights.

His biggest achievement was probably when he became president of the National Television Academy (New York chapter) for two succeeding terms. In 1991, he had his own talk show The Maury Povich Show which is still on-going. It is known for being scandalous and dealing with all things taboo. Naturally, its popularity grows every year. Due to his success, Maury is now $60M strong.
