Su nombre de pila es Althea Rae Janairo y nació en la ciudad de Honolulu en el estado de Hawái. Esta actriz, modelo y cantante tuvo mucha popularidad en los años 90 bajo el nombre de Tia Carrere, que era su nombre artístico. Su actuación como Sydney Fox en la serie de televisión “Treasure Hunters” fue en gran parte responsable de su meteórico ascenso al estrellato. En este día y edad, su Tia tiene 54 años, pero se ve tan hermosa como cuando tenía 20 y todavía está trabajando activamente para Netflix.
