After 45 Years, Man Withdraws His Penny Savings
Against the Entire World
It is not very often that one spots an elderly gentleman carrying fifteen water jugs’ worth of coins to the bank. As Anders brought his water jugs into the bank one at a time, he drew some stares from the other customers. The bankers could not believe what they saw before their eyes.
Anders reasoned that, given his weird looks, he would be advised to leave his penny collection home and not bring it. He fervently wished that the ordeal of carrying so many pennies to the bank would never have to be endured by him again.
As he approached the counter, the startled desk clerk could only utter the exclamation, “How many are they?! ” in response to his surprise.
