The 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter, made quite the move after his presidency. After living in the White House for four years from 1977 to 1981, Carter and his family opted for something a little less showy and something more cozy.

They’ve settled into quite a cost-saving lifestyle having designed and built the ranch they are currently still calling home, in Plains, Georgia. The house includes two bedrooms, bathrooms, a beautiful outdoor seating area and has been estimated to be around $167k.

It’s said that the couple has adopted such a frugal lifestyle that they have started making their own yogurt and even purchase their clothes from the dollar store. Nothing but respect to the former President and his First Lady!

HILLARY CLINTON – $1.16 MILLION, CHAPPAQUA


The public got introduced to Hillary Clinton for the first time when she became the First Lady as Bill Clinton was elected to the presidency. However, she is an exceptional lawyer in her own right who had earned her degree from Yale University.

She lost to Barrack Obama in the 2009 elections and then to Donald Trump in 2016. While America is still waiting for its first female president, Clinton has not lost hope and continues with her charitable and social work.

Together with husband Bill, they owned this nice little house in Chappaqua, New York. But they sold it off for little over a million. That gave us an idea of how profitable real estate investments are for celebrities, too!

ELIZABETH WARREN – $1.7 MILLION, CAMBRIDGE


Elizabeth Warren is a senior senator from Massachusetts who has served the country since 2013. She earned her degree in law and went on to teach it in several prestigious colleges, specializing in bankruptcy law.

She is known for being a progressive leader, and while she didn’t succeed in her presidential aspirations, she continues to bring about changes through the position she holds now.

Bought in the 90s, her house in Cambridge was worth about half a million, but now it has crossed a million for sure. Looks like her career as a professor and senator has paid off and she has nothing to worry about refinancing or taking mortgage loans!
