Another Portal To A Different Dimension
At first glance, this looks like a portal to another dimension because is it possible for a big hole to suddenly occur in a body of water? This is actually the man-made Covão do Conchos, a reservoir in Portugal’s Serra da Estrela mountains.
The reservoir, built in 1963 to supply water for the hydroelectric power plants in the region, is the largest of its kind in the country, holding a total capacity of 42 million cubic meters. Meanwhile, the lake was formed by the damming of the Conchos River, which is surrounded by rugged limestone mountains and lush green vegetation.
