Sherry Brydson – $17.38 billion CAN ($13.8 billion US)
Sherry Brydson is one of the richest Canadian entrepreneurs whose net worth is around $13.8 billion in May 2019. She was raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and started by being a news editor of the University of Toronto’s campus paper called Varsity.
In 1969, she was part of a Canadian environmental movement as she authored several books on pollution. She hails from the Thomson media empire family and is the largest stakeholder in Woodbridge. Woodbridge is an Ontario-based investment firm that handles the fortunes of all the seven grandchildren of Roy Thomson. She is the owner of Viking Air, Elmwood Spa, and Vista Radio.
Besides these million-dollar investments, Brydson’s small-scale businesses also deserve mention in Toronto including Thai restaurant Bangkok Garden and Elmwood Spa. Brydson’s current net worth stands at $17.38 billion CAN ($13.8 billion US).
