Two decades ago, Pan Dong was a teacher at a university in China. Today, she’s regarded as the richest woman in Canada thanks to a liquid detergent. She and her husband Luo Qiuping is the owner of Blue Moon Group Holdings Ltd., which gives a run for soap-making to the rivals Unilever and Procter & Gamble.

Hillhouse Capital Management invested 46 million USD (55.66 million CAD) in the phase of two rounds of funding. When the Blue Moon Group went public in 2020, it went on to become the biggest IPOs in Hong Kong and the market went on to reach the biggest highs.

Pan Dong has a 76% stake in the company. Her resounding success has culminated in a lucrative net worth that stands at $10.04 billion CAN ($8.3 billion US).
