OPRAH WINFREY – VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE, ESTIMATED $30K
Despite having more than ten times the net worth of other celebrities, Oprah Winfrey doesn’t show off her affluence through her car. Where other stars drive a Lamborghini or a Ferrari, she prefers the Volkswagen Beetle, a $30K car that anyone could have. It does make sense when one thinks about it, though. It is easy to park, inconspicuous, and it covers her needs. Oprah is a shrewd businesswoman and is not easily drawn into showing off for no reason. However, she does make big investments on houses and had bought her Montecito house for $50 million in 2001, and it costs a cool $90 million now. Well, all hail women power, and we hope she has another brilliant year. Maybe she will finally give in and buy a new car this year!
