Despite having more than ten times the cash of some other celebrities, Oprah Winfrey doesn’t show off her affluence through her car. Where other stars drive a Lamborghini or a Ferrari, she prefers the Volkswagen Beetle worth $30K, that anyone could have.
It does make sense when one thinks about it, though. It is easy to park, inconspicuous, and it covers her needs. Oprah is a shrewd businesswoman and is not easily drawn into showing off for no reason. However, she does go big on housing and had bought her Montecito house for $50 million in 2001, and it costs a cool $90 million now. Well, all hail women power, and we hope she has another brilliant year!
