Depois de ser padrinho de casamento da sua irmã, Sandy, em 2008, chegou a vez do Júnior subir ao altar. O cantor casou-se com a modelo Mônica Benini na fazenda Santa Bárbara, no interior de São Paulo, com a presença de 200 amigos e familiares. Para registrar os momentos e manter o sigilo da festa, os noivos pediram que os convidados guardassem os celulares e disponibilizaram máquinas de polaroides para quem quisesse fazer clicks. Assim como sua cunhada, a noiva usou um vestido assinado por Emanuelle Junqueira e o noivo usou um terno do estilista Ricardo Almeida. A festa foi animada e organizada por André Bonesso, com um buffet do Marakuthai, doces da Le Palais e bolo de Maria Antonieta.
