Shane MacGowan – Dependencia al alcohol y a la heroína
El cantante principal de Pogues, Shane MacGowan ya no luce como antes. Estuvo luchando con sus adicciones al alcohol y la heroína. Aunque ya no es adicto a la heroína (gracias a la rehabilitación), la dependencia al alcohol aún sigue ahí. Sin embargo, el daño hecho por la heroína es irreversible, especialmente si alguien pierde sus dientes. Por el momento, no parece que MacGowan esté bajo algún tratamiento o terapia para su adicción al alcohol.
