Gene Reynolds – 1923
Eugene or Gene Reynolds launched his career in acting but later moved on to directing, writing, and producing. As a producer, two of the best TV shows that he made was M*A*S*H and Lou Grant. In fact, his behind the scenes career proved to be much more flourishing than his acting. Reynolds was nominated for an Emmy 24 times, and he won it six times. He was also elected to the post of Directors Guild Of America and held it for four years.
