These Celebrities Served In the Army Before Becoming Famous, Some of Them Were in World War II
Don Adams
Born Donald James Yarmy, Don Adams got hugely popular as Maxwell Smart from the TV series, Get Smart. He won not one but three Emmy awards consecutively. After completing high school, he went on to join the military. But his service got terminated because he got Blackwater fever, and it took him a year to get back on his feet. Afterward, he started working for television and got into the spotlight. He retreated to his retirement home in 1999, and died soon after in 2005.
