Carrie Fisher and Joely Fisher
2016 was a tragic year for the family of Carrie Fisher when she died suddenly, and her mother, Debbie Reynolds, expired the very next day. It was a bad day for Star Wars fans. Though her struggles with addiction had made a big dent in her investments, and she had to pay out hefty amounts to rehab centers as well, her banks had enough money. Few people know about her half sister, Joely, who is an actress as well. She is best known for her role in the sitcom, Ellen. The two had been good friends since their childhood days as their mothers were neighbors. Joely even went on to write an emotional piece after Carrie’s death.
