Peter Ostrum — Veterinary Surgeon

Peter Ostrum played the role of Charlie Bucket from the iconic movie Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory. Though he made quite a name for himself and the character he portrayed went on to become a cult figure, Peter left Hollywood. Maybe all the fame and glamor was too much for him. He reverted back to his normal life and studied to become a veterinary surgeon. We hear he spends his life peacefully in the countryside. He is clearly a well-sorted person who knew his calling was for something else – and acting was not it. Not many of us can do this. He left behind a great career, name, fame, and fat bank accounts and followed his heart, banking on his love for animals.
