Unlike many other celeb kids, John David Washington did not immediately put on his father’s shoes. Instead, the 34-year-old son of Denzel Washington chose to make a career in college football and eventually signed up with the NFL side Los Angeles Rams. Unfortunately, he could not work his way in the ruthlessly competitive world of football and, like all sensible people with a good investment acumen would do, he switched to acting. He even picked up a few big roles along the way, and his latest film, The Old Man and the Gun, is coming to your nearest theatres this year only.
