J.K. Rowling is the brilliant mind that brought the magical world of Harry Potter to life. Despite struggling in her 30s and living out of state welfare benefits, she is incredibly rich today. Thanks to her international bestsellers, she was able to become a billionaire and can now afford anything she wants in the Muggle World, and that includes a $28-million luxury yacht that was previously owned by Johnny Depp. When she was going through a rough patch and had just lost her mother, she channelized all her sorrows and frustration and put everything in the book she was writing. Even though her first Harry Potter book was getting ready to be published, she was advised to get a day job as well to make ends meet. Soon, she proved that was not necessary at all!
