Before hitting it big time with her hit track, Girls Just Want To Have Fun, Cyndi Lauper was in a band known as Blue Angel. Unfortunately, the band’s first album was a colossal failure and the problem was further compounded when the band’s ex-manager sued its members for $80K. After declaring bankruptcy and taking a few jobs to get by and pay off her debt, she launched her solo career and began her climb to the top. She’s truly inspirational because not many people would have it in them to pick off from where she found herself and to give life another try. She’s doing much better right now, and it’s all thanks to her not giving up no matter what.
