William Howard Taft was born and grew up at this place. It’s a two-story property and was built somewhere around 1835. The Greek revival designs speak of elegance and affluence.

The William Howard Taft house has been declared as a national historic site and is currently being renovated. A sum of $700,000 has been spent from the banks during 2018.

Aside from being the 27th US President, William Taft was the 10th US Chief Justice as well, being the only individual to hold both the positions. A man of substance that he was, the property really suited him.
