Ulysses S. Grant – Price Undetermined, 865 Studebaker Landau Carriage

Ulysses S. Grant was never the blue-eyed boy for the banks but his role in the Civil War ultimately led him to the post of The United States President.

This 865 Studebaker Landau carriage was used by him from 1873 to 1877 and continued to be used it until the time he left for his heavenly abode in 1885.

Several well-known and distinguished individuals such as Chester A. Arthur, former president Rutherford B. Hayes, and King Kalakaua of the Hawaiian Islands, accompanied him in that carriage which was driven by six horses. The Studebaker Corporation took the carriage under its custody in 1910.
