Rapunzel Gets Pregnant and the Prince Becomes Blind
In the original, when the witch finds out that the prince has been climbing the tower, she cuts off Rapunzel’s hair and banishes her into the wilderness. When the prince climbs the golden hair, he finds the witch and gets pushed off the tower. He then falls into a thorn bush and is blinded; by the thorns; that poke his eyes. He eventually finds Rapunzel and their twins, and her tears restore the prince’s sight.
