Auch wenn 300 Millionen Dollar den meisten Menschen wie eine riesige Summe erscheint, so sollte man dennoch wissen, dass Roman bei der Scheidung rund 18,7 Milliarden Dollar wert war.
Laut Gesetz hätte Irina die Hälfte dieses Betrags verlangen können, was ihr auch zugestanden hätte. Sie begnügte sich jedoch mit den 300 Millionen Dollar, die sie bekam, und zeigte keine Absichten, nach den Milliarden ihres Ex-Mannes zu greifen. Roman war der Besitzer des FC Chelsea und damals der 16. reichste Mensch der Welt.
