Prince Charles und Princess Diana – Angebliche Einigung über 22,5 Millionen Dollar
Diese königliche Hochzeit schien dem Untergang geweiht zu sein, lange bevor die eigentliche Scheidung der Eheleute vollzogen wurde. Prinzessin Diana war bei der Öffentlichkeit äußerst beliebt und es schien, als wäre ihr Leben als Mitglied der königlichen Familie absolut perfekt, aber das stimmte nicht ganz, denn sie hatte jede Menge Eheprobleme und Auseinandersetzungen mit ihrem Mann. Wie es sich für eine Prinzessin gehört, betrug ihre Abfindung bei der Scheidung erstaunliche 22,5 Millionen Dollar, was für die damalige Zeit sehr viel Geld war. Obwohl die beiden versuchten, die Ehe aufrechtzuerhalten, war 1995 klar, dass eine Einigung nicht mehr möglich war, und ein Jahr später wurde die Scheidung offiziell.
