Ihre Hitsingle “Jolene” ist eines ihrer besten Lieder. Parton ist eine der am meisten geehrten weiblichen Countrysänger der Welt. Auch wenn ihre Musikkarriere über die Jahre an Fahrtwind verloren hat, investierte Parton weiterhin in Platten. Sie besitzt jetzt ihre eigene Plattenfirma, Dolly Records. Zum Glück hat sie nicht vor in nächster Zeit in Rente zu gehen.
