Sie begann ihre Karriere als Tänzerin, indem sie zunächst im Chor in Sommertheatern und als Go-Go-Tänzerin in Diskotheken auftrat. Später spielte sie weitere Hauptrollen. Sie wurde als die verrückte Nachbarin in der Sitcom Good Morning, World gecastet, die von 1967 bis 1968 lief, nachdem ein Agent sie in einer Refrainlinie für ein Fernsehspecial auftreten sah, das 1967 ausgestrahlt wurde.
