DIXIE CHICKS – Formada em 1989
O grupo musical Dixie Chicks, de Dallas- Texas, foi formado em 1989 pelas irmãs Martie Erwin Maguire, Emily Erwin Robison e a líder Natalie Maines. As garotas tiveram uma carreira de sucesso por vários anos, alcançando a primeira posição das paradas musicais com vários singles. A banda também ganhou treze Grammys e vários elogios dos críticos e imprensa. Infelizmente, devido o seu posicionamento contra o presidente Bush durante a invasão do Iraque em 2003, o grupo foi colocado na lista negra e proibido de se apresentar em qualquer lugar durante todo o mandato. Felizmente, os seus fãs puderam aproveitar um revival quando o trio realizou uma turnê em 2010 depois de uma longa pausa. Claramente, os membros da banda fizeram um bom dinheiro mas isso certamente não ajudou a resolver os problemas pessoais de cada uma.
