Len Lesser ganhou fama por retratar o personagem do Sargento Bellamy no filme de guerra de 1970, Kelly’s Heroes, e ganhou o papel recorrente de Tio Leão no seriado altamente popular, Seinfeld. Foi sua passagem por Seinfeld que fez Len ficar conhecido mundialmente e ele ganhou dinheiro suficiente para pagar seus prêmios de seguro de vida pelo resto de sua vida. O ator veterano deu seu último suspiro em 2011, aos 88 anos, e o motivo de sua morte foi a pneumonia causada por câncer.
