Matt Lauer & Annette Roque – Settlement: Reported $20 Million
Matthew Todd Lauer is an American former television news personality, whose claim to fame was his long stint at the NBC News. Following allegations of inappropriate behavior, Lauer’s NBC contract was terminated in November 2017 after the network had complaints about inappropriate behavior; the Network had reason to believe that it wasn’t an isolated behavior.
His marriage to his then spouse had crumpled under the effect of the scandal. He got married to Annette Roque who was a model and equestrian in October 1998 after they met on a blind date. The duo, share three children together. However, their picture-perfect world went crashing down after NBC fired him. Roque filed for divorce in July 2019 and Matt Lauer had to pay a whopping, $20 million as a settlement.
However, it was not the first attempt of the duo to divorce each other. Annette had filed for divorce way back in 2006 as she accused the former Today host of committing inhumane acts.
