Mariah Carey & James Packer – Settlement: Reported $5 – 10 Million

Mariah Carey and James Packer had the ugliest public break-up, to say the least. But Mariah, the clever woman that she is, went on to fight against him in court. Her law attorney definitely did a great job as the casino mogul ended up paying millions to Carey, with an estimated divorce settlement of $5-$10 million. We hope she puts them to good use and spends a bit on her life insurance fund. Packer admitted that he did a mistake as he was going through a rough patch at that time when they started dating. He went through a huge financial crisis before and after the break-up. It actually makes us feel bad to think of all the money he had to pay just for break-up alone — imagine how much he would have paid if it had been a divorce!
