Betsy Devos and Dick Devos – Together Since 1979

Elisabeth Dee DeVos, the former American government official, served as the 11th United States secretary of education. She walked down the aisle with the love of her life and Amway heir, Dick DeVos, in 1979.

The couple shares more than one thing in common, including Dutch ancestry, Christian values, and an affluent upbringing. Together, they make for one of the most powerful political entities in Michigan. The two began dating while she was a student of Calvin College in 1976. He would come to her college to pick her up and zoom away in his fancy Mercedes car.

Betsy DeVos has been a big part of the US President Donald Trump as Secretary of Education because of her longtime association with charter schools. She was also instrumental in helping her husband building his company as a CEO from 1993 to 2002.  They have also raised four children together. Dick DeVos shared in his book ‘Rediscovering American Values’ DeVos wrote theirs is a relationship based on our honest sharing of love, faith, and commitment.

Nancy Pelosi and Paul Pelosi – Together Since 1963

Nancy Pelosi first served as the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives between 2007 and 2011 and then again from 2019. She has been representing California since the year 1987. The Democrat has gone down in history as the only lady to have served as Speaker. Under her leadership, Donald Trump was first impeached by the House of Representatives in 2019 and then again in 2021.

Paul has been her constant companion for the last 50 years. The two walked down the aisle in the year 1963. And there has never been a moment when the two have contemplated taking the services of a family lawyer.

The two have five children and more than eight grandchildren. Paul owns a real estate and consulting company named Financial Leasing Services, Inc., in San Francisco. It’s always great to see the duo together.
