Ron Lester – Gastric Bypass Surgery
The Varsity Blues and The Fat Boy Chronicles actor Ron Lester started his career as a stand-up comedian. He was known as the big, funny guy in Hollywood. Struggling with his 508-pound weight, Ron Lester finally decided that the best way to get rid of all the excess weight was to go under the knife. He met a surgeon and had a gastric bypass surgery in 2001. Even after the operation, he had to undergo 18 plastic surgeries to remove excess skin. Despite feeling good about his weight, the actor suffered from liver and kidney issues in 2015. The next year, he was taken off life support as requested by his relatives and died at the age of 45.
