Food has always been nothing short of temptation for him and resisting himself from gorging on his favorite dishes had always been next to impossible. But after bagging the role of Hugo Reyes in the TV show, Lost, he had to shed off at least 30 pounds in order to play the character. However, his body weight soon crossed the 400-pound mark, and that left all his fans shocked. Despite having a gastric bypass surgery as his only option, Garcia decided to go all-natural. He stuck to a vegan diet religiously and lo and behold! He lost a staggering 100 pounds in the due course of time. Being a professional, Jorge cut off a few things from his lifestyle and achieved what he wanted.
