Vanessa Williams – Born 1963
Vanessa Williams is the first African-American woman to win the Miss America title ever when she was crowned in 1984. She was born in 1963 and her career in entertainment began in the ’80s. She is a singer as well as an accomplished actress, known to audiences worldwide.
Her roles in TV series like Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty gave her tremendous success, but she is perhaps most famous for her role in Eraser, opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger, and in Shaft. Vanessa was married three times and has four children. Her daughter Jillian Hervey is a famous singer and dancer from the Lion Babe group.
