Along with her sister, Sidney sailed her boat to the vast ocean of Hollywood and soon anchored her ship in Little House on the Prairie, a popular historical drama. After so many recurring roles as Carrie Ingalls, Sidney and her twin sister had successfully garnered a nationwide fan base.

Sidney moved away from the limelight after her Little House on the Prairie days. However, she continued to make several appearances in magazines and commercials and a film called Hambone and Hillie in 1983. Sidney is retired from show business and living a peaceful life far from the hubbub of Hollywood.

Karen Grassle — 1942

Karen Grassle played the role of an adoring mother and captured viewers’ hearts during the years she spent on the show Little House On The Prairie. Before she took on the role, the actress was struggling financially. She spent a year in England with a Shakespeare company and made her way to the United States again to try her luck. Fortunately, Grassle got the role, playing the role of Michael Landon’s love interest in a television show.

After the audition, Landon got her the part of Ma in Little House on the Prairie. She took inspiration from her mother and infused a lot of strength, wisdom, and grit into the character. Grassle appeared on several other shows such as Gunsmoke, Murder, She Wrote, and The Love Boat.

Grassle also appeared in the Kevin Costner movie, Wyatt Earp. Her character still manages to impact her audience, which says a lot about her acting skills.
