Former NBA Players Who Surprised Everyone With Their Choice of Jobs After Retirement
Latrell Sprewell – A Pitchman
Latrell Sprewell was easily regarded as one of the best players in the NBA. Following a great career at Alabama, Latrell Sprewell was selected as the 24th overall pick in the 1992 NBA draft by the Golden State Warriors and he made an immediate impact. Rubbing shoulders with Chris Mullin and Tim Hardaway, Sprewell’s average was 15.4 points, no wonder he became a part of the All-Rookie Second Team. He continued to make an impact and became a part of the All-Star team in 1994, 1995, and 1997. Spending six years in Golden State, Sprewell’s average went through the roof at 20.1 points per game.
However, Latrell Sprewell’s life has been mired with controversies. His stint in NBA came to a stop abruptly when he attacked the Warriors coach back in 1997 and retired in 2005. He even lost his home to foreclosure and the yacht met with an accident. After that, he became a Priceline pitchman!
Unfortunately, Sprewell despite having impressive on-court abilities often had to face troubles off the court.
