Mark Blount – Auntie Anne’s Franchisee And Real Estate Mogul

After spending more than a decade in NBA, Mark Blount was regarded as one of the league’s most dependable centers. When Mark Blount retired in 2010, he knew he had to start making moves and shift his focus onto something else that would begin the second innings of his career.

Blount started by trying something different with Florida, as his backdrop, Blount put his fingers in two pies such as the food franchises and real estate. Blount invested in a property that needed renovation and decided to participate in reinventing 14 units transforming the whole thing in a year.

With the money he earned, he invested in two franchises of Auntie Anne’s Pretzel. After spending four years in his enterprise, he decided to sell all his stores and gave the real estate a chance. It turned out to be a profitable move for him as he invested $700,000 and it paid him rich dividends as the profits turned to  $2 million. It turned out to be an extremely profitable venture for him.
