Former Gonzaga University point guard Dan Dickau has a loyal fan following and while his playing skills have been a big factor that aided his popularity, his long hair and curls were also another factor. After spending six seasons in the NBA, Dickau decided to hang up his shoes in 2011. While his fans were certainly disappointed, he decided to try something else and he was certainly successful in his endeavors. He and his wife decided to move to Spokane from Vancouver. The Barbers, which Dickau opened was his attempt to try completely new and open a new franchise. He also had tried a different venture for-profit basketball camp in Vancouver, which lasted for a year.

Although his career at the court didn’t help him reach the big league, his other venture The Barbers quickly became a staple in his neighborhood in Washington.

Not only that, but he has also worked in Pac-12 Network and ESPN in Washington.
