For as long as we can remember, the internet has been rife with rumors about Dave Chappelle auditioning for Forrest Gump. It is believed he was interested in playing the role of Bubba. While there are no facts to back up these claims, Chappelle once stated on the Daily Show in ’99 that he wasn’t a fan of the movie and he wasn’t sure how someone (Tom Hanks) could outshine him in acting.
