During the movie sequence when Forrest goes to meet President John. F. Kennedy, he’s seen drinking a lot of soda. Gump was so thirsty that he preferred to drink almost fifteen Dr. Peppers instead of choosing to eat something. The scene teaches us exactly how dedicated Tom Hanks was, who in spite of his diabetes, went on to drink as many bottles of sodas he could. Though perhaps, for Tom Hanks’s health, the bottles were emptied and filled with colored water.
